Biography

Matthias has been an EPM Consultant for 15 years and has been focused on data integration and automation topics. He built many advanced solutions with FDMEE, ODI and ARM/ARCS at Fortune 500 companies like Cisco, Salesforce, Bayer, creating a seamlessly integration experience. The Hyperion Solutions conferences were before his time, but he attended many KScope conferences, presenting on various topics. Matthias also shared his knowledge of ODI and OBIEE as a training instructor and curriculum writer.

Seamless integration and automation with EPBCS at TDK InvenSense

This session gives an overview of how the team at TDK InvenSense integrated 20+ data sources including ADP, HFM, Oracle CX (Sales Cloud), Oracle E-Business Suite (GL and several subledgers), Planful (aka Host Analytics) and Taleo in less than 4 months. Metadata builds are fully automated across 8 frequently changing dimensions including alternate hierarchies. All integrations are code free, easy to understand, analyze and debug, and can be launched by any business user with the click of a button – whether they are using their laptop or a mobile device. The project leveraged the ICE Cloud platform to simplify EPM data integration and automation without writing a single line of code.

Organizations are expanding the use of their Enterprise Planning (EPBCS/PBCS) applications across various departments and business processes like Workforce and Sales Planning. The source data is coming from HR and CRM systems which contain very delicate information: HR systems store sensitive data about their employees, CRM systems track the pipeline for sales revenue. One the one hand, managing flat files poses security risks. On the other hand, there are frequent metadata changes to capture new or changed employees/positions as well as customers/opportunities/sales organizations. In this session we are going to discuss how workforce and sales planning applications can be fully automated and which challenges need to be overcome.
