From Oracle10g onwards, Oracle has provided powerful tools to help the DBA identify and resolve performance issues without the hassle of analyzing complex statistical data and extensive reports. The Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor allows you to analyze Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) data for performance problems. In addition, active Session History (ASH) can assist in more granular problem-solving situations.
