This session will show you how you can easily build reports, forms, charts, and calendars on external datasources and seamlessly join remote and local data through the power of SQL.|
|Hands on Lab (Beginner or Intermediate)||90 min||The Hands on Lab session will begin with signing up for an Always Free Oracle Cloud account, provisioning an Autonomous Database, and using APEX. Then, attendees will be able to choose from one of the following labs:
|Building Successful Applications on the Autonomous Database||60 min||Well done! You’ve come up with the killer idea for 2020. You’ve got the best UI design ever seen in an APEX application! And you’ll be rocking that app on an Autonomous database, so everything is going to be awesome right? Unfortunately, all of this counts for absolutely NOTHING if your data access is slow or you get hacked. And rest assured, if you don’t understand how SQL is processed, you are going to have slow applications AND you are going to get hacked. This session will peel back the covers to show the important fundamentals of SQL processing and how incredibly fast it can be when done right. One million rows per second on a laptop? Yes indeed.|
