Welcome to the QLD Branch of the Australian Oracle User Group.

AUSOUG Queensland Branch meets bi-monthly at least, to learn about technology best practices and also provide networking opportunities with our peers in the Oracle community. Presentation topics can come from any of the Oracle categories of Database, Middleware, Applications, Server and Storage, and Industries. Our aim is simply to provide quality presentations on topics of interest to our members.

Mixing it up

Presentation meetings are often held at Oracle House, Level 16, 340 Adelaide St | Brisbane,  between 12:00pm and 1:30pm, with a working lunch provided. It's a great opportunity to share ideas, do some networking in a relaxed environment, and also learn something.

We mix our meetings up with networking events, which may be drinks after work at a local hotel, or our annual Christmas function. These events are all about catching up with peers in a more social setting.

We also run special events including local half day seminars and workshops, as well as working together with our AUSOUG and Oracle partners to bring you content that is current and relevant to you.

QLD Oracle Indexing Internals and Best Practices seminar

Where: Training Choice Mezzanine Level, 88 Creek Street Brisbane, QLD 4001
When: 01-02 August 2018

Richard Foote will be running his highly acclaimed Oracle Indexing Internals and Best Practices seminar around the country in July and August. The seminar has now been run in 20 countries and is of much benefit to DBAs, Developers, Solution Architects and anyone else interested in designing, developing or maintaining high performance Oracle-based databases/applications. Many databases/applications are suboptimal and run inefficiently primarily because an inappropriate indexing strategy has been implemented.

The last 44 attendees to attend the seminar all rated it a 5 out of 5 training experience, so this is your opportunity to enhance your technical skills that can be immediately applied back at your workplace.

Numbers are strictly limited due to the small class nature of the seminars, so if interested you are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.

For details of seminar content and to book your place and receive an additional $100 AUSOUG member discount go to https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/oracle-indexing-internals-best-practices-seminar-with-richard-foote-brisbane-tickets-47807843547 and enter the password ausoug123 when registering before 20-Jul-2018.

If you are interested in attending but might have problems getting approval on time or need to pay via an invoice rather than Eventbrite then contact Richard at richard@richardfooteconsulting.com.

Want to see more happen in Queensland for the Oracle community?  If you have a topic you would like to present, or know of someone interested in presenting, just contact one of the committee members or conferencemanager@ausoug.org.au and we will add it to the list.

Alternatively, if you would like us to organize a presentation on a topic, contact us and we will work to make it happen.
