Abstract Submissions

 

You are invited to share your skills, ideas, experiences, thoughts and best practices with the AUSOUG Oracle community at their INSYNC13 National Conference Series.

The conference theme is "Elevate Your Potential".

The INSYNC13 Conference Series provides an educational forum for Oracle practitioners to gather together and share their skills and experiences. This is an excellent opportunity to meet, network with and learn from acknowledged experts in the field. If you are one of the 'acknowledged experts' or believe that you should be, then we want you to submit your abstract for consideration.

This will be the largest gathering of Oracle professionals in Australia and you will have the opportunity to present to attendees of one conference or up to six conferences.

With over 1,000 people expected to participate nationally, your experience is invaluable to the success of these events. End users, independent professionals, Oracle, Oracle Partners and suppliers of Oracle services are invited to submit papers that focus on the following trending topics.  The 'fresher the better':

  • DBA: Application | Development | Production
  • Dev: PL/SQL | Forms & Reporting | Apex | ADF
  • E-Business Suite/Fusion Apps: Financials | OBIEE | Hyperion | Primavera
  • Middleware: Content | WL Server | BPM | BPEL | SOA
  • Other Oracle Products that you believe are a current 'HOT TOPIC'.

* Please Note: INSYNC13 Conference Series does not include any JD Edwards content.

 

The two days may consist of the following format*:

Day One:

  • Concurrent Seminars; and
  • Concurrent Workshops on the products featured in seminars on Day Two

Day Two:

  • Concurrent Sessions; and
  • Concurrent Workshops on the products featured in seminars on Day One

*Please Note that format may vary slightly from conference to conference

Our program allows for concurrent seminar session times of 45 minutes (inc Q & A) and can fall into the following categories:
  • Case study or useful tips
  • Educational sessions
  • Real life experience and best practice
  • Defining strategies and techniques
  • The latest and best technologies
  • And either half or full day workshops specific to the seminars.

Workshops can be either full or half day. Speakers can submit abstracts for both seminars and workshops.  If that is the case then the workshop should reflect the seminar.

Submitting an Abstract

You can submit your abstract(s) for seminar and workshop through the Online Abstract Submission System. Presenters should take note of the key dates associated with paper submissions:
  • 24 May 2013 - Abstract Submissions Close
  • 14 June 2013 - Speaker's acceptance confirmed

Full details of all key dates will be provided in the Speaker Guidelines. Be sure to provide as much and as concise details as possible to ensure our paper reviewers have the best opportunity to select your paper.

The Abstract

A short abstract (100-200 words) is to be provided when submitting. Please use full sentences and follow the advice found in the Speaker Guidelines.

If your abstract submission is accepted the details will be made available to attendees of the conference.

Submission Process

All presenters submitting abstract/s will receive a confirmation of receipt of the submission/s. Once accepted by the Paper Review team of each selected conference, all accepted speakers will be advised and asked to confirm their willingness to present. Further details including timings and room allocations will follow.

Speaker Entitlements

A fee for service is not applicable. All accepted speakers are required to be registered at their selected conference/s after confirmation of acceptance. Speakers will receive a two day registration to the conference/s selected if their presentation is accepted. Final acceptance will be dependent on the conference registration of all presenters (except for keynote and invited speakers).

Presentations are limited to a maximum of two (2) speakers who must both participate in the presentation to receive their entitlements.

The complimentary Speaker Registration includes:

  • Participation in all conference sessions of the selected conference
  • Entry to trade exhibition
  • Arrival, morning and afternoon tea
  • Lunch
  • Networking Drinks
  • Conference satchel
  • Name badge

Further Information

Each Conference in the series will have it's own Committee, Program Chair and Paper Reviewers.  These details will be provided once confirmed.  In the mean time please direct all your enquires to conferencemanager@ausoug.org.au.

The invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel or accommodation costs associated with the AUSOUG INSYNC13 National Conference Series.

Similarly, no speakers' fee is paid to successful applicants. The Conference Organisers reserve the right to change speakers, events and/or session times, dates, prices and other details as deemed necessary.
