Hi All,

This year seems to have just flown by, but I hope that you managed to achieve some good things on a professional and personal level. From a Victorian AUSOUG perspective, we hosted many events this year, ranging across:

  • Oracle Database Applicance
  • Oracle's Cloud presence in Australia
  • Oracle Analytics
  • TOAD and SQL Developer
  • Big Data and Information Management Architecture
  • Docker and Oracle Linux
  • Open Source Solutions
  • 'In Action' workshops

There was also a large focus on our APEX Webinar Series, hosted by local and international experts. This was a fantastic series that provided a wealth of information to beginners through to intermediate and professionals.

The AUSOUG CONNECT 2017 Conference in Melbourne was a fantastic success, taking place on last Monday, 27th November. We hope that you were able to take part in the knowledge sharing and networking, and came away with more than a few pieces of wisdom to process. We look forward to your feedback in what made this conference good, and what you would like to see more of over the coming year, and also what we could do better.

The Victorian yearend function is on Monday 4th December at Holey Moley, (590 Little Bourke Street, Melbourne) starting from 5:30 pm. We hope you will be able to join us.

Thank you to the Victorian committee who volunteer their time throughout the year. Please let us know if you would be prepared to serve on the committee as we are always looking for fresh ideas and helping hands. Hope you all have a relaxing festive season and best wishes for the New Year.

Kind Regards,
Joseph Kattar
President Victoria AUSOUG
