Presentation 1:  Oracle's Mobile Cloud Service
Time:   12.00pm
Abstract:   In today’s dynamic environment, organisations are being driven faster than ever to respond to the expectations of customers – and an expectation that it’s all mobile! Mobile application development and the speed market of new capabilities and services are critical to meeting these demands.

Come and learn from Oracle and Xamarin about their vision for Enterprise Mobile Application Development and how the distinction between service and application development is crucial to building today’s killer mobile applications with speed and scale.

Presenter: Serene Tan – Serene Tan is a Cloud Solution Architect at Oracle. From a varied 13-year career spanning applications, infrastructure, software development, business analysis, project management and managed-services, she is an all-rounder, specialising in the glue between normal humans and IT. Her main driver, a vision to make lives better through technology. She believes in fit-for-purpose solutioning, and is currently focused on Oracle Cloud heterogenous / hybrid architectures and merging Consumer Experiences with the Enterprise World.

Presentation 2:  Xamarin's Mobile Application Development Platform
Time:  12.45pm
Abstract: At Xamarin, we know that the path from 1 to 100 apps and becoming a successful mobility-driven business is extremely difficult.  The new 'always-on' mobile-age user who wants *everything* at their fingertips, is forcing businesses to transform themselves, or become extinct.  In this session we'll cover:

  • The current mobile landscape and user trends
  • Today's challenges in developing high-quality mobile apps
  • Xamarin’s approach to helping mobile app development teams across mobile platforms

Derek Loar - Enterprise Account Executive at Xamarin has been working to solve technology needs of enterprise customers forover 15 years. His background is in project management and consulting with large software companies.

Michael Watson - Customer Success Engineer at Xamarin. He has been building mobile applications and helping determine mobile strategies for Xamarin customers since 2014. He currently focuses on Xamarin.Forms, Xamarin Insights, Xamarin Test Cloud, and continuous delivery, and helps Xamarin's customers build the best apps they can build.
