Oracle Open World (OOW) is the Oracle event. Given most of us are not able to attend we have organised to hear from two people who attended last year. David will be presenting from Adelaide and SA members are welcome to attend in person. Shaun will be presenting via webinar from Melbourne.
Feel free to join us "in person" to watch Dave live and listen to Shaun over the wire, followed by networking drinks and nibbles, or just participate in the webinar, the details of which are below.
Oracle Open World (OOW) San Francisco (October 2015) provided many opportunities to learn from expert presenters/panelists and also offered great networking opportunities. Shaun was selected as an OOW speaker for 2015 and presented on technology transformational project experiences. Shaun will share pertinent aspects of that presentation and some of his learnings from the other sessions he attended. The presentation will have a Utility bias and is more strategic application than technology focused.
David attended as an Oracle employee and was on the Oracle stand in the exhibition hall for much of the event. He did manage to attend a number of presentations in his technical space and will let you know about what he gained from attending.
Shaun Begley is the President Victoria AUSOUG, he has user, consulting, implementation and support experiences across a great many of Oracle’s Applications. Shaun is currently the Manager Asset Analytics at City West Water and has both an engineering and financial background.
David Reid has over 20 years IT industry experience. He was first introduced to Oracle Database technology whilst working at DSTO in 1986 and has worked on projects within Government, Defence and Commercial organisations covering the broad spectrum of IT activity from Programming, Analysis, Design, Implementation and Project Management.
