Speed-Dating Oracle JDeveloper 12c and Oracle ADF New Features

Chris Muir will tell us about the new features of the newly released 12c

JDeveloper 12c is the new major release of Oracle's flagship IDE and the embedded Oracle  Application Development Framework (ADF). This session explores new features in Oracle  JDeveloper and Oracle ADF, like the integration of Maven, JavaEE 6 support, REST integration,  JavaServer Faces 2.0 support, improved skinning, the new XML-less JavaBean data control, ADF  Business Components enhancements, Tablet support, new ADF Faces and DVT components, and many more

Developers who are not yet on Oracle JDeveloper 11g R2 will learn about technology changes and  their path to upgrade to the Oracle ADF stack in Oracle JDeveloper 12c

We may not have time for a formal hands on, but bring your laptops installed with JDeveloper 12c  if you want to test out the new features as Chris describes them

Why should you or your staff attend ?

This is NOT a marketing event, it’s purely technical. No sales pitches or partners discussing their successes, rather just a focus on the ADF product itself.

Rather think of this event as a mini training event where you or your staff have the chance to learn more about how to use ADF than how you’re using it currently at your organization. Each ADF client in Perth while making good inroads into learning and adopting ADF, are using ADF in a very linear way. With the inclusion of an ADF Product Manager from Oracle and meeting other ADF customers from around Perth, each one of these events will expose and teach broader ADF skills, with little cost to yourself besides that of the time once every two months

This event will allow us to share tips and techniques that are discovered over many months of real world experience, fast tracking the skill levels of group members

Please support the AUSOUG partners as they support you.
