Frank Munz, the Workshop Presenter
Frank is the founder of the Sydney and Munich based consulting company munz & more. As an independent Oracle architect, consultant and trainer with a 12 year background in distributed computing and Oracle Fusion Middleware Frank wrote the bestselling book Oracle Middleware and Cloud Computing that pioneered the usage of OFM in clouds. His book was reviewed by Oracle ACE directors Chris Muir (APAC) and Björn Bröhl (EMEA). In 2011 Frank was honored with the "Oracle Technologist of the Year 2011, Cloud Architect" award.
Frank’s ignores the marketing buzz and sharply analyzes what it takes for real cloud computing. He frankly explains how the usage of OFM helps to improve standardization, monitoring and management of cloud applications.
Frank published over 200 articles and whitepapers about Oracle WebLogic Server, Service Bus, SOA Suite and Cloud Computing on OTN and in his blog. He was running hands-on cloud computing workshops as early as 2010 for BMW and Siemens. At the moment Frank is working on his next book project "Oracle WebLogic Server 12c: Package Insert" to be published later this year.
He is an active member of the Oracle User Groups in Australia (AUSOUG) and Germany (DOAG) and enjoys speaking at conferences worldwide.
