Speakers & Paper Submissions

ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED.

All users and suppliers of Oracle related products and services are invited to submit papers for presentation at AUSOUG & OAUG National Conference Series for 2008 being held in Perth 6-7 October 2008 and Gold Coast 13-14 October 2008. The theme for 2008 is "Oracle Software from a User's Perspective".

The Paper/Abstract Submission deadline is 27 June 2008. This is to ensure all papers are reviewed, speakers confirmed and details placed in the Registration brochure that will be distributed to Members.

We are interested in receiving abstracts from Oracle IT professionals, users and business to present relevant papers, training and demonstrations. Presentations should provide topical, engaging information relevant to the current Oracle influenced professional Business and IT community and based around the conference theme (if possible).

If you are interested in presenting at one or both of the conferences please select the "Submit an Abstract" link below, complete the form and return it to gm@ausoug.org.au. Submitted papers will be judged on the basis of significance, relevance, correctness, originality, and clarity.

Topics we are particularly interested in hearing from this year, but not limited to:

  • Database
  • Developer; Forms, JDeveloper, J2EE, JSF, XML, Web Services, BPEL, SOA, Hubs, .Net, and Fusion Middleware
  • App's; all incl GL, AR, AP, HR, Payroll, CRM,
  • Higher Education
  • Spatial
  • Oracle eBusiness suite, Seibel and Retek, HR Management
  • Hyperion
  • Tools & Security

Each individual paper will consist of a 45 minute presentation (inc Q & A) in one of the follow streams: Development; Applications; Database Administration; Business; Siebel (Gold Coast Only); Hyperion; and Vendor. You will be asked to nominate the stream that best suits your paper. A session day and time will be nominated for you.

All speakers are required to be registered to attend the National Conference Series (Perth, Gold Coast or both). Speakers will receive a two day registration to the Conference(s) they have been accepted to present at. All accepted Speakers MUST register to attend the Conference after they have been accepted. Final acceptance will be dependent on the conference registration of all presenters (except for keynote and invited speakers). All authorized papers/presentations should be available from the AUSOUG website on conclusion of the conference series.
