2008 Conference Program
The Conference Speaker Program of the National Conference Series 2008 is held over two days at both Perth and Gold Coast and will feature two Workshops the day after each conference. Members do not have to be registered to attend the conference to attend the workshops as they are optional extras. You will need to book and pay separately for these workshops by completing the appropriate details on the Conference Registration form.
The Conference in Perth will commence on 6 October and conclude on 7 October; the Conference on the Gold Coast will commence on 13 October and conclude on 14 October.
Each day consists of a number of plenary sessions presented by keynote speakers, plus streamed concurrent sessions: Development; Applications; Database Administration; Business; Siebel (Gold Coast Only); Hyperion; and Vendor (this is more marketing orientated).
A networking session will be held on the conclusion of the first day, followed by an optional conference dinner (Gold Coast only).
The trade exhibition will be held from 8.00am to 5.00pm on each day. All catering will take place in this area.

These two excellent full day workshops are being provided as an optional extra to the Conferences and therefore attract a separate fee .The fee includes the tutorial, papers (if applicable), and refreshments, depending on length of workshop.

Oracle Hands on Workshop
Oracle offers free tools and best practices on how to migrate 3rd-party databases and their related applications to the Oracle Technology Platform.

Daily Programs
The daily program for Perth and Gold Coast will be available for downloading once papers have been reviewed and accepted and the paper placed into an appropriate session slot. The program will change a number of times so please ensure you always have the most up-to-date version.
This contains an index, in alphabetical order, of all speakers and their papers followed by the abstract of all selected papers, to allow you to pick and choose the most relevant and suitable presentations you need to attend.

Social Program
WELCOME RECEPTION – PERTH & GOLD COAST
Relax, network and catch up with friends and your peers. The Welcome Reception will be held in the exhibition area at the end of the first day at both conferences.
Guests will receive canapés and drinks, plus the opportunity to win some prizes.

The Welcome Reception is an entitlement for those delegates who registered for the full conference only. All other delegates and guests are required to pay $45.00 if they wish to attend.
CONFERENCE DINNER – GOLD COAST
After a highly successful function in Melbourne in 2007, we will be holding a Conference Dinner for attendees of the Gold Coast Conference. This will be held on the first night (Monday 13 October) in the Conrad Jupiters Pavilion Marque. This 'not to be missed' dinner will be an optional extra for ONLY $75 (inc GST) per person. Once again, this is only because it will be very heavily subsidized by AUSOUG/OAUG. Guests will receive canapés on arrival, a three course meal and beverages (wine, beer and soft drinks).
